This role entails…

Working with the Head of HR to support business areas within the Media & Entertainment Content division,  which includes Audiences, Commissioning & ITV Sport. 

The role provides comprehensive, efficient and effective business partnering support to each of the teams, through coaching, problem resolution and case management, as well as supporting and promoting wider ITV initiatives to make ITV a great place to work. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key business stakeholders
  • Work with key business stakeholders to support the delivery of any change management plans and to support employee engagement with new structures
  • Act as a coach to key business stakeholders providing them with support, advice, guidance, skills and tools to proactively manage their teams effectively
  • To develop an understanding of the business challenges and take a view on matters outside of the HR/people sphere
  • Provide proactive, accurate and effective HR support and advice to managers and employees, advising on a wide variety of issues
  • Deliver effective case management for employee relations including grievance, disciplinaries, capability investigations, long term sickness and employment tribunal claims
  • To support the delivery of restructure projects; preparing redundancy documentation, cost analysis and handling consultation meetings
  • Ensure that regulatory and legal statutory requirements are met
  • Develop and own HR projects and initiatives within the business, including action plans for engagement survey feedback, diversity and inclusion and people plans
  • Provide support for regular HR processes including pay, bonus and Talking Performance reviews
  • Work in partnership with the Centres of Excellence within HR including Resourcing & Development, Reward and Payroll on areas such as recruitment, succession planning, benchmarking
  • To facilitate internal secondments and support succession planning
  • To develop and facilitate training modules for managers in relevant HR topics such as Employment Law

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Minimum role criteria:

  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent qualification)
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) and the preparation of presentations to all levels of seniority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Experience working in a high performing and fast paced organisation as an experienced HR Manager or HRBP

The Key role criteria is as follows:

  • Experienced understanding of HR operational processes
  • Excellent knowledge of current employment law with proven ability to run employee relations/change management processes 
  • Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to build rapport and trust 
  • Confident communicator with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Experience of organisational complexity and matrix structures
  • Confidence to influence and appropriately challenge senior leaders
  • Flexible in style to accommodate a variety of personalities, with the  ability to adjust approach accordingly;
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity.
  • Effective and proven organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple expectations in a fast paced environment 
  • Provent ability of working independently or in a team
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
