Senior HR Advisor

My client is looking for a Site based Senior HR Advisor on a 6 month FTC. Reporting to the HR Director you will be responsible for all generalist HR activities for a manufacturing site with a headcount of c.400. This position is based in South Wales in commuting distance of Cardiff and Newport. You must be available to start January/February.

This is a broad HR generalist position with responsibility for supporting the HR Director in relation to all site HR activities and where you will be the first point of contact for all HR queries. As such you will have day to day responsibility for implementing and managing all HR related activities in line with policies and procedures. This will include: employee engagement and communications, employee and industrial relations, succession planning and performance management, HR administration, recruitment, HR management information and training.

They are looking for a pro-active and self-starting HR Advisor who has worked in a similar site based 24/7 manufacturing/engineering/production/FMCG or supply chain environment. With strong knowledge of UK employment law you will have the ability to deliver against the HR plan, deliver change in a fast paced working environment and be able to work operationally. Alongside your broad HR generalist experience you will be able to build and manage relationships at a senior level, possess good business/financial acumen and have great communication skills.

This is a busy and hands-on/operationally led position that offers a lot of variety. Due to the nature of the business you will be expected to be based on site and working within a very safe and secure environment.
