We have partnered with one of the most exciting start-ups in the centre of Berlin. My client has created an amazing online marketplace for their customers to find their dream car. They were founded a few years ago and already have more than 300 employees. A reason for the growth is strong investors like Volkswagen, Daimler and Renault.

Their vision is to become a leader in their field. Therefore, we are now looking for a Staff Engineer with remarkable frontend expertise who will work with multiple engineering teams and take a lead in our frontend engineering initiatives.

Who we are looking for

  • You previously worked on a consumer product that involved multiple teams
  • Proficient knowledge in React.js and possibly experienced working with alternatives like Vue.js, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Experience in designing modular frontend architecture optimized for productive collaboration in multiple independent teams
  • Experience on working on product-based projects
  • Experience in optimizing CI/CD for quality and development productivity
  • You are keen on sharing your knowledge, supporting other engineers with professional growth, and act as a force multiplier


What you will do.

  • Lead collaboration on frontend architecture that allows iterative, autonomous development and future scaling
  • Implement and contribute to company technical vision
  • Contribute hands-on to production code giving a solid example of qualitative and pragmatic approach
  • Spread knowledge of design patterns, refactoring techniques, clean code across the organization.
  • Perform code reviews, advise other engineers on non-trivial implementation choices
  • Consult engineering teams on the usage of platform services/components/libraries
  • Identify and address areas of improvement for frontend area, lead initiatives reducing existent technical debt. Measure success and impact.
  • Support other engineers in order to improve and grow their technical skills
