This is a great opportunity for an HR Business Partner who is looking for a critical leadership role with plenty of autonomy and influence, and to be the HR Lead for a Manufacturing site based in the north west of England
Reporting to the HR Director and working alongside the Operations Director, the HR Business Partner will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to help shape the wider business plan and supported by an aligned People Plan. In addition, you will take the lead role in people related project workstreams, co-ordinating resources as required and liasing with support functions and stakeholders to ensure successful execution and delivery of project objectives. You will play a key role in developing and delivering the HR plan to maximise Site capability and resource. Working closely with the Site senior teams, and remotely with Group & Central Functions, you will be responsible for:
* Overseeing HR reporting, policies and processes
* Engagement & communication, including employee relations and working closely with trade union representatives
* Driving engagement, performance and cultural development
* Recruitment and onboarding, and skills gap analysis
* Reward and recognition
* Organisational change and development
* Leadership development
This is a challenging role that requires someone with gravitas and credibility who is able to work alongside senior stakeholders and be a critical part of the Site leadership team. Ideally your experience will have been gained within a similar industry sector and working environment - manufacturing, supply chain, FMCG, engineering - managing the development and delivery of all site based HR activity. With broad HR Business Partnering experience you will have the ability to think strategically, be able to focus on leadership development, drive engagement and performance, drive project and change management and build strong relationships at all levels. This will include ER and Trade Union experience alongside strong knowledge of UK employment law. Alongside your HR generalist experience you will possess good business/financial acumen and have great communication skills.
Due to the nature of the role you will be expected to be on site 4 days/week. The site is based in commuting distance of Blackburn, north Manchester, Preston, Wigan and Liverpool.
