Be the difference

This is a brand new role which will offer the opportunity to develop your skills as a recruiter. Based from our beautiful head office surroundings of Lupton, Cumbria, you will take responsibility for:

  • Overseeing and managing recruitment campaigns for our schools or homes from attraction and advertising through to offer and on-boarding
  • Directly sourcing and headhunting talent using a range of tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Building and nurturing talent pipelines in line with our growth demands, so that we recruit the right people at the right time
  • Encouraging employee referrals, supported by our new ‘recommend a friend’ App, recruiting like-minded people who want to make a difference to our children
  • Championing the WG candidate experience, ensuring it reflects the way we look after our people as a great place to work
  • Partnering with social enterprises to support people into employment opportunities
  • Engaging with our Alumni talent community, supporting people back into roles within our group
  • Ensure that recruiting managers are appropriately supported and that they attract, select and appoint the right candidates whilst being compliant with relevant procedures and legislation (including Safer Recruitment) which are vital to the safeguarding of our children
  • Promoting our employer brand and social media presence, working hand in hand with our marketing team

Be You

What we’re looking for….. if you’re a passionate, committed recruiter who wants to make a difference, then we are looking for you. You’ll need:

  • At least 1 year’s experience as a Recruiter – as an in-house, agency recruiter or similar, ideally within a social care or education sector
  • Hands-on experience with attraction and sourcing techniques, although full training will be provided
  • To be comfortable with data and talent systems such as LinkedIn and applicant tracking systems
