Director of Human Resources
Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) is one of a handful of the UK’s historic art and specialist creative universities with an outstanding international reputation. To assist the University in driving this new strategic and creative vision forward, the University is seeking to appoint a Director of Human Resources to lead on the HR Strategy, creating a vibrant culture in which all staff are empowered, engaged and developed.
As a member of the University’s Senior Management Team, the post holder will provide strategic advice, guidance and leadership across the University on all aspects of Human Resources. Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the successful applicant will have significant expertise and experience of operating at a senior level, with an ability to develop and translate strategy into operational delivery through the implementation of forward-thinking HR solutions and best practice. The Director is responsible for leading a dynamic and professional human resources team who provide high quality service support, with a wide range of HR operational responsibility throughout the whole lifecycle of employment.
With excellent knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation and best practice within HR, the new Director must have proven experience leading and managing performance issues proactively and effectively and have led successful initiatives in wellbeing and resilience for staff. The role will suit a highly experienced HR professional who can demonstrate strategic influence with a track record of organisational and cultural change, improvement and inspiring others whilst being resilient and focussed.
