The role

People Services is committed to providing The Open University with high quality people solutions and is valued for its efficiency, expertise, partnering capability and service. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Business Partner to join our People Services Business Partnering Team in acting as the interface between People Services and a variety of units across the University.

As a People Business Partner, you will provide high quality, business focused and strategic level advice, guidance and support to a range of management teams throughout the OU. You will help deliver a range of strategic and operational people solutions whilst advising on organisational design and development.

Skills & Experience

This role will suit you if you:

  • Possess extensive experience and knowledge in delivering HR/OD services to a wide range of stakeholders and business units.
     
  • Possess strong, up to date knowledge on organisational design and development.
     
  • Are experienced in working with talent development, reward, change, ER and performance management.
     
  • Have a strategical business partnering background coupled with excellent communication skills and the ability to challenge and negotiate at all levels.
