We are seeking a new Head of HR to lead our Human Resources department in delivering recruitment, business partnering, employee development, payroll and systems services across the University.
As the Head of HR, you will work closely with the Vice-Chancellor and his Team to create and deliver strategies that will help the University attract, retain and develop its talent, ensuring an efficient and customer focused service at all times. You will manage the HR Business Partnering function and provide advice and guidance to key stakeholders on complex Employee Relations matters, recruitment, workforce planning and organisational design.
To be successful in this post, you will have a Post Graduate CIPD qualification (or experience to the equivalent level) and chartered membership of the CIPD (MCIPD). You will have significant experience of UK Employment Law and complex Employee Relations case work with a background in providing professional advice to stakeholders on strategic issues. You should have experience in using HR information systems (including Core and Workday) and in overseeing a payroll function. You will also have a strong track record of leading change management projects and can speak to your experiences in working across a full HR function within a medium to large organization (preferably across the Higher Education sector) including HR, Learning and Development, Payroll and Recruitment.
You will do well in this role if you have a high level of emotional intelligence, can build trust across your team and with your stakeholders and if you are a true team player who enjoys working collaboratively, embraces change and has a ‘can do’ mentality.
