Head of HR- Lisbon Based
We are currently working with an International Bank on a unique opportunity for an experienced Head of HR / Senior HR Business Partner to head up HR for the continental Europe business and will be based in Lisbon, Portugal.
As the office grows you'll create HR initiatives and produce processes to effectively manage issues that will arise during this time. As well as taking a lead on engagement and activities that will add value, you will also be responsible for developing HR in these offices in line with the banks commercial strategy.
This position of responsibility will require someone who is forward thinking, commercial, energetic, entrepreneurial, visionary and highly experienced in a strategic HR role especially in change management.
It will suit Head of HR that is either already based in Lisbon or can relocate to Lisbon. Any Portuguese HR experience would be advantageous but not necessary. Fluent Portuguese is essential.
Building and managing relationships with the local business leaders, gaining a solid understanding of their business strategies, goals and objectives in order to respond to their short and long term needs and identifying, develop & implementing appropriate HR recommendations and solutions.
Ensuring that HR programs and initiatives are planned, coordinated and successfully executed
Developing and delivering client specific initiatives related to recruitment, leadership resource planning, learning & development, retention & employee engagement with the help of local and global specialists
Supporting change initiatives with organisation design; determining HR implications; developing people strategies and guidelines to support the change; and developing the communication strategy and plan.
Providing local advice and support to business leaders in resolving difficult staff relations, interpretation of policies and procedures and developing solutions.
Work closely with other HR teams to coordinate and execute on global projects, share information and adopt a global approach whilst acting locally.
