Ashley Kate HR & Finance are pleased to be partnering with a growing business in Oxfordshire on a new People Manager role. This is a unique opportunity to join an SME based in Bicester and take ownership for the full HR function. You will be leading a team of 3 and reporting to the Head of People so whilst managing the People function on a day to day operational basis you will also work closely with them on strategic projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR professional who is passionate about a people focused culture and engagement and being part of a successful growing business who genuinely put people at the heart of what they do.
You must be a proven HR generalist who can deliver across the full HR spectrum of HR. You will be expected to consider the bigger picture and develop strategy for HR, as a growth plan is under way. A strong focus on candidate attraction, retention and employee engagement will be required to sustain and grow the workforce organically. The post holder will be required to lead on employee relations and to manage any subsequent processes. You will be a competent team leader who is able to develop a small team.
HR Manager – About the role
You will be a member of the HR team and you will work with colleagues to design and implement a new organisational-wide strategic vision
Manage employee relations including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy
Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes
Keep informed of all legislative changes, determine impact on the organisation and implement as required
Support the recruitment process – this may include supporting staff members in writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc.
Taking ownership of internal communications – ensuring that they are embedded into staff practice and understanding
We are looking for
·Strong UK Employment Law knowledge
·Experience working a similar role.
·Proven background in a people focused culture.
·Previous experience in a management role within a HR Function.
