We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who has previous practical experience in generalist HR and enjoys completing a variety of tasks in a busy environment. 

This post will report to the HR Operations Manager and work with the HR Assistant to provide timely support and advice across multiple sites.  This will involve the occasional need to travel to our other locations within the UK, including overnight stays.   

The role will predominantly be responsible for the day to day management of the recruitment function in its entirety, as well as providing employee relations support, by undertaking low to medium level grievance and disciplinary investigations, advising managers on basic employment law matters, supporting managers with performance management capability meetings and sickness absence management.

Applicants must have previous experience in working in an operational HR role.  You will have a minimum of a Level 3 HR qualification, ideally Level 5 and be an Associate member of the CIPD.  Recent practical experience of end-to-end recruitment campaigns is essential as well as having an excellent knowledge of discipline and grievance, performance management and sickness absence management processes. You will be confident yet calm in dealing with challenging situations.

You will have sound IT skills including navigating internal systems and databases.  Your ability to compose formal letters and documents must be excellent, with exceptional attention to detail.  You should have confident communication skills with experience of providing advice as directed, to all levels of Management and Staff.
