Team Manager – Case, Change and Employee Relations

This extended leadership team will establish the best possible working practices, and influence behavioural change at every level, providing a myriad of valuable opportunities. Reporting to the Head of HR Operations you will oversee the work of a team of around 15, taking calculated risks in a supportive environment. Embedding the processes and practices that will elevate the team to new heights, you will provide calm and consistent leadership for specific services within HR, OD and Engagement. Developing flexibility within your service area to quickly adopt innovative ideas, you will be responsible for both current and future needs, constantly seeking ways of achieving better value.  Building trust and capability within our workforce, from performance monitoring of the team to ensuring that commissioned and contracted services are exceeding the expected standards, this is a highly varied role that will present you with the chance to extensively broaden your knowledge and skills in a rapidly-evolving workplace.

This role would be well-suited to a confident, well-established HR/OD team leader who is not afraid to deliver constructive criticism and challenge the status quo. As you will be encouraged to come up with creative approaches to complex problems, you will need significant experience of designing, delivering, commissioning and evaluating HR and OD solutions. While public sector experience is not necessary, you will need to have experience of working in a unionised environment. You will have exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills and be capable of implementing, marketing and promoting new services and initiatives. With good budgetary-management capabilities, you will be well-versed in maximising resources.
