An exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a well known logistics and distribution organisation. The successful HR Manager will partner the Site Manager and operate as a true generalist in developing people to enable them to reach their full potential.

Description

As a HR Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, supporting and delivering employee engagement across the site.
  • Ensuring the management team are leading the site in a way that is consistent with the organisations culture and values.
  • Providing guidance and coaching to management teams to empower managers to make effective people decisions.
  • Providing advice on all aspects of Company policy, best practice, employee relations and employment law.
  • Maintaining and promoting good employee and industrial relations and ensure employee relations issues are dealt with at an early stage.
  • Supporting, coaching and developing the site HR Advisor.
  • Supporting capability development, retention and succession of on site management teams.
  • Ensuring appropriate forums are routinely held to ensure open and 2-way communication.
  • Supporting and leading various ad-hoc projects as requested by the needs of the business unit e.g. TUPE, Restructures, etc.
  • Supporting the site with developing and fulfilling their resourcing plans.

Profile

As the successful candidate you will:

  • Have significant experience in a HR Advisor / Officer / Manager role, ideally within a logistics, retail and manufacturing environment.
  • Possess credibility and impact to act as a true business partner to the site management teams.
  • Have previous experience in dealing with ER issues.
  • Have previous experience with driving forward a performance management agenda.
  • Ideally have some experience of working within a unionised environment.
  • Have strong knowledge of current Employment Law.
  • Have the ability to deliver change programmes e.g. TUPE
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and influencing skills.
  • CIPD qualification is desirable.

Job Offer

Basic salary of up to £40,000 plus benefits.
