As a HR manager you will be responsible for contributing to the development of the human resources and social policies of the UK subsidiary. This is a dual role to oversee two sites and work closely with Group global HR teams.

Description

As HR Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Maintaining a positive work culture in line with the values of the business
  • Providing pragmatic and professional expertise and advice on HR topics
  • Managing company recruitment and selection campaigns together with workforce planning and career management
  • Coordinating the on-boarding and induction processes for all new starters
  • Managing all applicant and employee data, keeping all relevant systems up to date and compliant
  • Ensuring that all Employee Relations activity is dealt with, fairly, professionally, and in line with statutory guidance, managing agreed risk
  • Coaching and assisting line managers to understand and effectively implement HR policies, procedures, initiatives and best practices
  • Working with the to develop and maintaining long-term talent management, employee development and succession strategies
  • Reviewing and updating employment terms, HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Implement and develop the learning & development policy

Profile

You will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an HR generalist, CIPD qualified or with Bachelor's degree
  • Strong employment law/employee relations knowledge
  • Strong people skills, able to build rapport quickly across all levels
  • "Can do" attitude, drive and energy and personal accountability
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking the initiative when needed
  • Good working experience in unionised environments
  • Passionate about making a difference with a "hands on style" and the desire to have a real impact and make positive change
  • Flexible to travel

Job Offer

Salary up to £45,000 + car allowance £4,000
