Learning and Development - Field Based - North of UK

* You will be required to travel in this role but Manchester would be your key hub*

Oakleaf are proud to be working one of the UK's most reputable brands based in Manchester, who are currently looking to recruit for a Learning and Development Consultant. This role will specifically sit within their Retail Team, focusing on training needs for store based employees so will be required to travel across the Northern region in this role.

This is a superb opportunity to join a growing business, recognised worldwide, were you will play a vital role in driving the business performance through the development of their people. This is a fast paced and stimulating environment which requires at least two years experience in Learning and Development, with a focus on leadership training. Retail background not essential.

Day to day you will:

  • Design and Deliver - lead the scoping, design, development and delivery for all training modules

  • Deliver innovative leadership development initiatives - working 1:1 with senior leadership but also in larger groups

  • Partner with senior leadership - forging strong relationships within the business unit to ensure all materials are relevant and up to date. You will also be working closely with them to plan ahead for any future training needs, gaps or opportunities

  • Partner with Directors to implement the L&D strategy and plan, focusing on both local and pan-organisation learning needs

  • Lead internal and external projects where appropriate to produce relevant learning solutions

  • Develop and roll out their e-learning management plan

  • Lead L&D budget management including 2019/20 budget setting/ allocation

Your profile:

  • An engaging communicator, with excellent facilitation skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Detailed understanding of the psychology of learning, current learning theories, implementation and evaluation methods

  • Experience in partnering, designing and delivering best in class learning technology to embed self-led learning

  • Digital savvy and embraces new technology

Commercial acumen and understanding of the operational levers which drive success in the organisation
