I am working on a retained basis with a Bristol based Professional Services company seeking a Board level HR Director. This is a hugely exciting position that reports directly to the CEO and leads a team of 15.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working very closely with other Board members and senior management teams, you will lead an HR team of 15, with overall responsibility for the HR strategy and People Agenda. The company has a number of offices across the UK with Bristol housing all head office functions and the majority of the senior leadership team and wider headcount.

The position will be accountable for leading all operational and strategic activity across a broad generalist HR remit. However, key to this position will be two key elements: firstly, ensuring that the HR team is structured to support the business, and that all HR policies and procedures are aligned to the business strategy; and secondly, to be the lead for a significant change agenda, under this are key projects and programmes that will drive change related to areas such as agile working, recruitment processes and frameworks, performance, HR efficiencies, succession planning and promotions, and talent and development. This is therefore a great time to be joining the business as you will play a key part driving a change agenda that will effectively future proof the company and enable growth.

The successful candidate will come from a Professional Services/Partnership led environment or will be currently working within Financial Services. You will have proven experience of managing and leading an HR team, with a broad and deep knowledge of all areas of generalist HR disciplines. Experience of working with senior and Board level stakeholders and evidence of driving people related change will be key. This position is likely to appeal to someone who is currently in a no.2 position or Head of HR/Senior HR Business Partner role who is looking for/is ready for a step up, or someone working at a similar HR Director level.
