Oakleaf Partnership are currently working with a leading and forward thinking organisation who are looking to appoint a Knowledge Management Senior Manager to join their team on a 9 month FTC basis. Reporting into the COO and collaborating with the Knowledge Managers embedded in division across the organisation you will be key in setting and implementing the strategy of Knowledge Management. You will focus on the working environment to ensure potential value of knowledge is unlocked to enhance organisation effectiveness, efficiency and memory throughout.
What the role involves -
Scope, design, deliver, maintain, oversee, and ongoing evaluation and development of a new knowledge management strategy and framework
Drive a stronger culture of knowledge sharing across organisational boundaries, to help optimise the value of company-wide knowledge.
Collaborate and join up of business area knowledge management, to ensure local work is being carried out within the overall vision and strategy.
Provision of strategic direction and advice across the organisation on knowledge management matters, including systems (particularly those in development) and other knowledge sharing mechanisms, tools and processes, to ensure effectiveness
Ensure related strategies are consistent with the knowledge management strategy, in particular through influencing senior management.
Mitigation of operational risks associated with substandard knowledge sharing.
Key requirements -
Track record of setting a vision for knowledge management and delivering that vision.
Strong credibility and ability to quickly establish trust. High drive, resilience and perseverance.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong experience of applying change and cultural management principles in the knowledge management field
Leadership through consensus building and delivery of tangible outcomes through virtual teams
Experience of working in an advisory capacity - ability to think laterally, identify and forge links with other related strategies.
