Generalist HR Manager role, responsible for managing a small team which provides operational HR support to the business.
Supporting the HR Director in delivering strategic projects and continually improving the HR service.
Our client is a successful distribution business based in North Kent. They are looking for an outstanding HR manager to join them in a varied and at times hands on role.
As HR Manager you will work with the HR Director to deliver the HR strategy whilst also taking responsibility for the day to day management of the HR team.
You will oversee all employee relations cases and producing the relevant reports for the Senior Management team. Working with your team you will provide advice and guidance to staff and managers on areas such as employment law, employee relations, recruitment and general HR queries.
You will review policies to ensure they meet best practice and will ensure these are communicated effectively to the business.
Working with the HR Director you will delivery key HR initiatives around employee engagement and staff development and training.
This is a varied role and will require a strong mix of operational HR and the ability to understand the business' goals and work with Managers to help them achieve these.
You will be CIPD qualified and will have a strong generalist HR background at HR Manager level. You may have worked in a stand alone role or as part of a team but will have the ability to be hands on when required and also engage at a senior level with the business.
Previous experience with Distribution or Manufacturing would be beneficial.
Basic salary - £45,000 plus benefits
