Talent Acquisition Lead

Talent Acquisition Lead, Derby. permanent, up to 50k

The purpose of the role:


  • Develop and Deliver a Talent Acquisition Strategy as part of the People Strategy
  • Develop and Deliver a Compensation and Benefits Strategy as part of the People Strategy
  • Ensure the delivery of an effective talent acquisition framework for existing and future talent requirement
  • Work with colleagues in the People Development Directorate and contribute to interventions that support the acquisition, retention and development of talent
  • Provide leadership to the Talent Acquisition team to provide a respected, credible and high performing service
  • Deputise for the Head of HR



Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate frameworks are in place to enable delivery of successful and high performing talent acquisition services
  • Ensure appropriate tools and frameworks are in place to enable operational colleagues to select staff members with the right values, attitude and skills
  • Engage with operational colleagues to ensure an understanding and awareness of current and future talent requirements
  • Build talent pipeline and contribute to succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with legislative/regulatory requirements and exceed best practice where possible
  • Develop proposals/report to Leadership Team as appropriate.
  • Manage and develop the Talent Acquisition Team
  • Provide expert advice and guidance
  • Design and deliver assessment centres, primarily for senior level roles
  • Contribute to wider HR and OD interventions that impact on recruitment and retention of talent
  • Identify and build candidate attraction brand reflecting organisations brand
  • Contribute to the annual pay review


The skills required to apply for this role:

  • Experience of developing HR strategies, specifically recruitment/talent, with demonstrable positive results
  • Experience in a senior HR role covering employee relations, recruitment, retention and managing TUPE issues
  • Experience of working within a multi-site service delivery organisation
  • Ability to think and act strategically and demonstrate a practical approach
  • Innovative, broad thinker, challenge the status quo
