Our HR team is firmly embedded within the business and offers real expertise in all people related issues and has a key role in communicating to our people. Our team is spread across four locations; Newcastle, Bristol, Plymouth and Southampton. It is made up of three core teams; Recruitment, Generalist HR and Learning and Development.
This role will see you playing a leading part in managing our internal communications (particularly the firm's intranet) to ensure we have an effective and dynamic communication strategy which achieves engagement from within the business. This will include drafting, editing and proofreading content and choosing the right method of communication, working with the existing internal communications team to streamline strategy and working with our intranet steering group on the upcoming project to refresh and upgrade our current intranet offering.
This role sits within a team made up of HR generalists, project specialists (incorporating internal communications), payroll, analysts and a secretarial services team.
Naturally, we are looking for someone who has the ability to communicate and influence at all levels across the business in a professional manner. You'll also need to demonstrate excellent team-working skills and be able to work cohesively as part of a group on firm-wide projects. It's essential that you have strong written communication and creative thinking skills with the ability to draft and edit content suitable for a firm-wide audience which is written in plain English, is accessible and supports our tone of voice. Being able to choose the right medium to gain maximum engagement from around the business is crucial. We are looking for straightforward to the point engaging communication which is easily understood at all levels.
We need someone who has proven Intranet management experience (using SharePoint 365), along with IT skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Experience of web-design, photo and video editing/production and e-marketing systems would be huge advantage.
You'll already have a proven track record in delivering internal communication, be confident with the ability to work to deadlines whilst managing a varied workload. It's also essential you are comfortable influencing people at all levels, making appropriate decisions along the way and maintaining strong working relationships.
