Based in fabulous offices in central London, Finsbury is an agile, client-focused communication and reputation consultancy operating in many of the main financial centres around the world.
To help us grow in London we are looking for a People Director to guide us as we grow our business and cement our reputation as the best place to grow a career. The role will also provide support to our offices in the Middle East and Asia.
You’ll have the support of our Partner People Group, who champion different aspects of the Employee Experience at Finsbury, and are looking for expert guidance to make Finsbury the very best it can be. We are focusing on our EVP and have been putting in place a refreshed approach to talent and development.
It’s an exciting time to join in this role because there is ample scope to influence how it’s done, and a refreshing lack of bureaucracy when it comes to making changes. We are increasingly embracing flexibility and would be happy to discuss optimal working arrangements.
What the role will involve:
•Provide leadership and support to the company in the delivery of its strategy through the design and provision of appropriate People strategies and high quality policies, systems and processes,
•Develop and partner with the People Group to make meaningful change, fast
•Develop, implement and ensure compliance with best practice in all people-related matters
•Develop and revise appropriate incentive schemes to ensure we retain and effectively reward employees whilst driving required commercial performance from the company
•Work in collaboration with senior leadership to develop a high-performance environment, ensuring the delivery of effective appraisal processes and associated programmes and initiatives to support the enhancement of staff performance, leadership and management capabilities
•Lead and collaborate on the design and implementation of an integrated talent management strategy, succession planning and career development programmes
•Provide proactive expert advice on the organisational development of the business
The successful candidate will:
•Have a Master’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree level qualification (preferred)
•Demonstrate knowledge of UK Employment law (preferred)
•Have the authority to act as a trusted advisor, and the ability to coach and counsel at all levels
•Be adaptable and flexible
•Have great attention to detail and be extremely organised
•Demonstrate experience in a similar or related client-focused business
•Be used to working and influencing at Board level
•Be used to working within a larger Group and able to make the most of that relationship
•Have experience taking businesses through change including recommending and implementing new processes
•Be an ideas person, looking to create new best practice
