Hr Shared Services Manager

Permanent HR Shared Services Manager job-based in Manchester centre paying up to £50k

Working for a large scale business who have a head office function in Manchester and currently have a staff base of 4500 staff.


Your new role
Reporting into a senior level HR stakeholder the HR Shared Services Manager will be responsible for the management of 2 direct reports and 12 in direct reports who form the companies shared service function. The service function consists of transnational HR Assistants & also a team of employee relations/Hr Advisors who offer complex advice to managers. The function does provide support to managers and staff on a national basis and in terms of the work volumes, it is a high volume shared service function. In terms of the challenges the business have challenges with capability within the team and up-skilling managers, mapping out processes and utilising the HR system to it's full potential. In terms of the opportunity, this will be a really challenging role for the first 6 months as there are quite a lot of fixes to make which will take some time but the business is looking for somebody to come on board and completely transform the service that they are currently offering.


What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate must have worked within a very busy & complex HR Services Environment
Must have direct management experience
Must have experience of managing HR teams which include transnational and also Advising/Employee relations
Excellent experience using HR systems
Experience of implementing new processes and improving shared service environments.
