An award-winning, international law firm have recently created a number of new headcounts in their team. This shows a fantastic investment in their people and has come off the back of a number of extremely successful revenue-earning years. Operating across a long list of jurisdictions, the firm offer a collaborative approach for their clients, which is replicated in the support functions.
Reporting directly into the Head of HR, the firm are looking to bring in a newly-created Senior ER Manager position. You will establish a 'centre of excellence' and will coordinate and oversee employee relation issues, working closely and with support from the wider HR team and the firm's Partners.
When you join the firm, you will spend time understanding the cultural and environment nuances across the firm's offices and proactively set up, manage and deliver commercial advice. Having never had a specialist ER professional in the team before, you will act as point of escalation when appropriate and begin to build out this specialist team.
This is a specialist role and extensive experience in ER issues, management of caseloads and investigations is a prerequisite. If you have also spent time working as an employment law solicitor, this skill set and experience is highly desired by my client. This role will offer an operational take on employee relations, and will require a 'hands-on' approach however, as this is a new area, a strategic mindset and experience of previously building out a team would also be incredibly useful.
