The Open University recently centralised all resourcing activity with the creation of a Resourcing Hub, responsible for providing a high-quality end to end recruitment, induction and onboarding service for permanent and non-permanent activity.

As we continue to embed the new service we are moving into an exciting period of resourcing proposition development and are looking for an experienced resourcing manager with a strong projects background to join our leadership team to cover a maternity leave for 12 months.
Managing a team of 4 Resourcing Account Managers and their Resourcing Assistants, and supporting senior stakeholders across the University your role will include:
Managing the day to day operation of the Resourcing Hub, ensuring both key business targets and key performance indicators are met, to ensure the quality, credibility and legal compliance of services provided;
Proactively support the Head of Resourcing in development and continuous improvement of good internal and inter-team working and service provision and support the development of the function by leading on key resourcing projects.
This opportunity would suit a Resourcing professional with experience of managing recruitment operations (ideally in-house or RPO/MSP), developing high performing teams and significantly contributing to or leading projects such as attraction strategies (including direct sourcing), diversity, assessment and selection, talent-pooling, recruitment branding and candidate relationship management.
Higher Education sector experience isn’t a pre-requisite however you should be able to work across multiple stakeholder groups with both a customer and commercial focus and bring a real passion for supporting the Open University’s mission.
