Organisational Development Project Lead

The Organisational Development Project Lead is a truly unique HR opportunity to work with a Group HRD to design and deliver a variety of OD, Talent, L&D, Capability and Engagement Programmes across a Global business.

The client have been on a journey and are still evolving as an organisation and as a HR Function. They are a business that has grown both organically and via acquisition in over 10 European countries. The Group HR Director has a real vision to pull the group together as one business and that supports the strategic vision of the executive team and underpins the People strategy. You will be part of a Global HR community to deliver the company vision and values and promote the organisation as an employer of choice. With multiple sites in the North West and across the UK you will be primarily based in Manchester but will have a remit that stretches across 12 countries designing and implementing HR projects that will pull the business together.


The Organisational Development Project Lead will:

Report directly to the HR Director and will research, design and delivery HR & Development programs that can be rolled out across the group

Projects will be varied not limited to but includuing the following:

  • Talent - building a talent tool kit for managers and building a talent management process that promotes mobility
  • Global Mobility - relocation process to promote secondments and development of talent on a global scale
  • Designing a Graduate program
  • Developing 3 new leadership development programs, project managing the test countries and global roll out
  • Building a recruitment platform and external careers website and EVP
  • Develop a standardise on boarding program
  • Designing a coaching and mentoring scheme
  • Reviewing HR Systems and looking at ways to maximise utilisation and standardise operating usage


The successful candidate for this unique Organisational Development Project Lead won't have to come from FMCG but must have worked in a fast paced, large organisation away from the BAU of HR and in a more project focused position. You may have even worked for a consultancy delivering solutions for blue chip manufacturing organisations. Experience of multi site, global or European operationally lead organisations is a must to be able to successfully delivery for the HR Director Ideally you will have experience at both site and Head office level and be able to flex your style to your customer group. You will have a hands on approach and be able to translate strategy at a local level, ensuring you engage every level of the business. You won't have direct reports but must be able to manage and influence your peers to be able to deliver and embed HR, OD and Talent programs successfully and with notable ROI

This is an unusual role and as such your CV must demonstrate that you have been in a projects/programme position and that you can confidently talk through Talent, Leadership and recruitment projects you have led
