HR Director (permanent or interim)

Our client is a diverse, multi-site service organisation, a well-known brand, which is looking to appoint a Divisional HR Director to align and lead the delivery of the HR strategy and initiatives for a key client group, acting as a Senior Business Partner to the Leadership team.

Reporting into the Group HR Director and managing a team of HR Business Partners, this is a newly created role, where you will be a key member of the functional leadership team and responsible for the development and implementation of the retail people strategy, ensuring the delivery of the business objectives and targets.

You will also be responsible for supporting the Talent Management agenda within the function, driving the performance management agenda and succession planning programme across the business unit, as well as delivering commercial, best practice HR solutions, which develops talent, enhances employee engagement and is able to support a fast paced and changing organisation. This is a role, which allows strategic input and the opportunity to add value to enhance and drive forward a high performing culture whilst working closely with HR colleagues to maximise the effectiveness of Group HR expertise within the retail division.

To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced Head of HR or HR Director with a proven track record of delivering HR solutions at both an operational and strategic level, enabling continuous improvement, ideally for large, complex, multi-site retail businesses. Commercially astute with experience of change management, you will need the confidence and tenacity to motivate and engage the senior management team. The ability to build credibility quickly and contribute to the wider HR agenda will also be required.
