HR Business Partner - Chelmsford

An international Law firm are looking for an HR Business Partner to join their team in Chelmsford. Reporting into the Head of HR, this role will provide proactive and commercial HR business partnering to the firm. As HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Business Partnering

    • Acting as an expert in field and being considered as a trusted advisor by internal clients

    • Acting as an internal "client facing" representative of the HR Business Partnering team

    • Establishing excellent working relationships with Senior Management and Partners based on an understanding of their needs and business objectives

    • Continuously developing an understanding of the wider business, it's needs and objectives

    • Thinking commercially and creatively in order to identify ways in which HR initiatives and projects can add value to the business

    • Managing and contributing to HR projects as required

    • Working closely with other HR specialisms to deliver a holistic service

  • Employee Relations

    • Acting as point of contact for all employee relations matters

    • Taking ownership of the New Joiner Review process and delivering effective HR advice to supervisors in respect of new joiner performance

    • Providing supervisors with coaching and guidance on managing performance

    • Implementing a Health & Wellbeing policy and delivering HR advice to managers in respect of managing sickness absence

    • Supporting check-ins, continuous review and feedback process

    • Carrying out the salary review process for client groups with relevant colleagues

    • Delivering large scale change projects

  • General Duties

    • Covering for Head of HR during absences

As HR Business Partner, you will possess:

  • Previous HR business partnering and employee relations experience

  • High levels of organization and ability to operate within a busy and fast paced environment

  • Proven experience dealing with complex employee relations scenarios

  • Proven skills in influencing and negotiation with senior management

  • Experience working within a Professional Services environment (ideally)
