I have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Learning and Development to join a fast paced and highly successful tech firm based in the City of London. This will be a 12 month FTC reporting into the Cheif People Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and driving a comprehensive and sustainable learning and development strategy.

  • Leading a team of L&D Specialists.

  • Ownership of the budget.

  • Identification, communication and assessment of industry innovations in Learning & Development.

  • Driving and maintaining a culture of personal growth, ensuring that employees are driving this themselve

  • Maintaining the Graduate & Fast Track Programme, including ensuring quality of training, delivery of training and learner involvement.

  • Train, motivate, evaluate, mentor and direct employees and managers to meet business strategic goals.

  • Guide and assist each business unit in developing quality introductory training plans and learning activities; maintain active follow up through ongoing coaching, guidance, and support.

  • Supporting managers in identifying their own training and development needs and designing training where necessary.

  • Evaluate training and development programmes; Amending and revising programmes as necessary

Experience:

  • Degree in HRM, L&D or ORG Design or CIPD qualification Level 5 or above (or equivalent) . 3+ years experience

  • At least 8 years of operational experience

  • Project Management - knowledge and experience of planning, organising and managing projects to accomplish a quality outcome on time and on budget.

  • Budgets & financials - knowledge of financial operational parameters, knowledge of how to monitor spend

  • Superior communication, both written and verbal

  • Results oriented

  • Open, honest and trustworthy

  • Confident and dynamic public speaker

  • Creative - can think big and think forward

  • Works well on their own, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
