Manchester Metropolitan University is always evolving. Right now, we’re also undergoing intense transformational change. That makes this a rare opportunity to join us at senior level where you will lead our specialist People Development, Employee Engagement and Equality and Diversity teams, translating workforce planning data into innovative retention and development strategies.
You’ll also evolve service delivery and lead time-sensitive and discrete HR projects, all while maintaining ‘business as usual’ for everyone across our organisation. Moreover, you’ll support the HRD in developing and delivering our people strategies, specifically a People Engagement & Development Strategy, working to secure approval for its implementation by championing positive change.
You will also have strategic responsibility for the newly formed University Teaching Academy (UTA), which provides career development and continuous improvement support to our academic community, enabling excellence in leadership, learning and teaching.
Wherever you’ve gained your generalist HR experience, you’ve done it in a culture of ambitious change and so have a track record of delivering. Of degree calibre and a CIPD Member or Fellow, you’re also an accomplished leader who can inspire and motivate diverse teams in a fluid environment. Both emotionally intelligent and comfortable with complex situations, data and legislation, you’ll be excited to push the boundaries in our multi-cultural, non-linear environment.
