Oakleaf Partnership are representing a major retail business based in West London recruiting for a Reward Manager to report directly into the Head of Reward.
The organisation are growing their existing reward function, and is looking for the successful Reward Manager to drive the performance and reward strategy across the UK and Ireland. You will be an internal expert regarding all matters across compensation and support the benefits function on an ad hoc basis. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the reward journey, assessing and aligning bonus schemes, assessing pay rates, being familiar with national pay rates etc. Our client is looking for a senior hire who would be confident in having a seat at the table, and articulating reward concepts to senior leaders showing knowledge, credibility and gravitas.
You will be expected to delve into the inner workings of the reward team and strategy. If there are challenges, our client is looking for someone to investigate cause and come up with long term solutions as opposed to take everything at face value. To successfully do this, you will need to understand Reward in a commercial capacity, you'll need to understand processes, varying priorities of stakeholders in the business and business/people objectives.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a highly matrix organisation (retail experience is desirable but not essential) and ideally have experience of managing a budget. This role will have a lot of exposure to senior leaders in the business and therefore the successful candidate will need to be a confident communicator, with experience of pushing back on the business when required.
