HR Administrator - Legal
A leading and international law firm are looking for an HR Assistant to join their London based HR team. Reporting into the Head of HR, this role will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Head of HR, Senior HR Advisor and Payroll & Benefits Officer. As the HR Assistant, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
All data entry on the HR system such as joiners, leavers, office transfers, absences etc.
Assisting with the preparation of HR documentation e.g. joining instructions, leaving and maternity letters, salary review etc.
Carrying out New Joiner procedures such as completing all pre-employment background checks, including liaising with NY office
Organizing induction timetables, liaising with relevant support managers and preparing induction packs, new joiner buddies etc.
Carrying out the leaving procedure by preparing leaving procedure letters and other leaving documentation and booking exit interviews etc.
Monitoring probationary periods and preparing probationary documentation
Ensuring that benefit membership databases are kept updated with joiners and leavers
Monitoring eligibility for long service awards and liaising with payroll
Aiding with the appraisal processes, managing appraisal documentation etc.
Assisting with annual salary and bonus review processes
Acting as point of contact for holiday queries, managing the year-end holiday/carry over process and providing holiday reports
Monitoring sickness absence
Assisting with disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes
Ad hoc project work as required
As the HR Assistant, you will possess:
Relevant experience within HR and ideally within Legal or Professional Services
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent attention to detail
Strong IT skills
