Senior HR Advisor - Legal

A US Law firm based in The City are recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor to join their team. This role will provide day-to-day operational support to the London office as part of the wider HR team. Reporting into the Head of HR, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Acting as first point of contact for all employee queries, ensuring that policies and procedures are appropriately and fairly applied

  • Assisting with the on-boarding processes for new joiners, in conjunction with Recruitment and Professional Development

  • Assisting with the management of parental leaves, returns to work planning, KIT days, arranging parental transition coaching etc.

  • Providing support to the Payroll and Benefits Officer on employee benefits administration, management and queries

  • Providing support to the Recruitment Manager with graduate recruitment activities

  • Developing expertise on HRIS

  • Monitoring absence, including return to work interviews and occupational health referrals

  • Managing flexible working requests and ensuring reference requests are processed in a timely manner

  • Assisting with performance issues and investigating complaints

  • Supporting on Firm's diversity and inclusion initiatives

  • Ad hoc project work

As the Senior HR Advisor, you will possess:

  • Strong academics, ideally to degree level and CIPD

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, ideally within Legal

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

  • Good working knowledge of English employment law and dealing with ER issues
