Arsenal Football Club is one of the leading clubs in world football with a strong heritage of success, progressive thinking and financial stability. The Club was founded in 1886 in Woolwich, South London, before moving to Highbury in North London in 1913. They have won 13 First Division and Premier League titles as well as 13 FA Cups.
In keeping with its desire to move forward, progress has always been relentless off the pitch, never more so that when the Club embarked on a new chapter in its history with a move from Highbury to the impressive state-of-the-art 60,000-seater Emirates Stadium in 2006. It was a herculean but crucial task as the Club looked to create a compelling, successful and sustainable platform for the future.
As part of the club’s wider ambitions, it recognises the need to continuously invest in people - not only ‘on the pitch’ but also across the wider business functions. This exciting HR Business Partner role offers enormous scope and opportunity to help shape the ‘template’ for HR excellence at the Club, and partner a diverse and extremely interesting population.
Provide a pro-active, commercial, ‘hands on ’generalist service; results-driven, customer focused and committed to delivering HR excellence.
Play an active part in progressing HR through the delivery of focused HR interventions and projects. Operate as a valued and visible partner to help achieve the organisation’s ambitions and objectives.
Advise on and guide the recruitment and selection process, ensuring that the best talent is acquired, supported and progressed.
Deliver exceptional service and support to all client groups in order to foster true engagement opportunities.
Act as the primary point of contact and provide advice on employee relations activity, including case management.
Educated to degree level or equivalent.CIPD qualified.
A thorough understanding and knowledge of legal and statutory frameworks; able to provide appropriate coaching and guidance to managers in this area.
Demonstrable HR business partnering experience/skills. A proven track record in an equivalent level role ideally gained in a fast paced, customer centric environment such as sport, retail, media, or leisure/hospitality.
Proven change management, employee relations and recruitment expertise.
Ability to quickly establish credibility, respect and demonstrate effective relationship building skills with diverse and demanding senior stakeholders.
Self-organised, accurate and a pragmatic orientation to the delivery of day-to-day operationsA non-hierarchical individual who will be more than willing to ‘roll their sleeves up’ when necessary.
Excellent team skills and a practical and ‘down to earth’ approach to all HR issues.
