HR Associate

We're working on an opportunity within financial services that'd be suitable for someone with circa 2 years of experience in an HR Assistant role, that is looking to develop their career to an advisory role. As HR Associate, you would work closely with an HRBP gaining terrific exposure to a more senior level of work, building your own relationships in the business, managing processes independently and with guidance and support expanding your skillset.

This is an international firm and the team in London look after several locations globally.

Due to the visibility of this team and the high-touch environment candidates suitable would ideally have had experience working with senior stakeholders in another similar firm in either financial or professional services.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing some administrative processes including invoices, references etc.

  • Conducting interviews, induction, managing the onboarding process ensuring that background checks are completed and so on

  • Manage ER cases with support from the HRBP's (independently responsible for maternity, paternity, flexible working, occupational health concerns, contract extensions and other ad-hoc requests escalating to HRBP's when necessary)

  • Monitor Visa applications and ensure right to work checks are completed

  • Manage probation processes

  • Ensure that the HR Operations team are kept updated on employee information that would affect system changes

  • Assist in projects

Candidates suitable for this position will:

  • Have gained around 2 years of experience in an HR Assistant role

  • Have worked in a financial or professional services business

  • Be confident liaising and managing relationships with senior stakeholders

  • Be unfazed by having to work at a fast pace, having multiple demands at one time and needing to prioritise

  • Ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent
