The Oakleaf Partnership are seeking an experienced HR Assistant/Advisor to work 3 days per week for a consultancy firm based in prestigious offices near Aldgate Station, London.
The role will cover a variety of duties, tasks and responsibilities including, People Service (including talent management), Employee Relations, Resourcing, Employee Life Cycle
You will work with key stakeholders across the relevant clients teams to deliver a high quality HR service, developing a proactive and user friendly service
Supports the talent, salary and bonus review processes. Will be involved in setting up talent mapping meetings, attending and contributing to these meetings where appropriate and ensuring consistency and fairness
Manage the documentation including but not limited to salary schedules, promotion submissions and achievement award nominations
Supports external salary benchmarking exercises
Assists in the development and implementation of a talent management approach for the firm, including the talent mapping process
Helps manage the careers of the employees in an open and constructive way including identifying high potential performers and helping to design/develop retention plans in conjunction with the Senior People Manager and the L&D team
Provides support with the promotion process and helps to ensure that managers and employees are supported effectively through the process.
Provides a first contact point for employee
Takes part in any disciplinary / grievance investigations and hearings, supporting the Senior People Manager where appropriate. Takes an accurate record of any discussions and keeps track of any deadlines, including payroll cut off dates
Assists with the annual headcount planning and budgeting process. Prepares documentation where appropriate
Track headcount against plan for the client group.
Work and collaborates with the Senior People Manager on any recruitment related activity, including the firm's graduate recruitment programme:
Managing effective relationships with PSL
Creating job descriptions
Updating and optimising use of the CV Mail system
Screening CVs and managing hiring manager feedback, agencies and candidates
Manage the people processes for the group and keep accurate track of employee movements (starters, leavers, maternities, secondments)
Manage payroll changes, and ensures HRIS and personal files are updated appropriately
Manage maternity cases from notification to return to the office and beyond
Arranges and conduct meetings with employees on any HR related matters, including new starter check-ins, probations and general ad hoc matters of welfare
Conducts exit interviews and escalates where appropriate any areas of concerns / highlights positive feedback where appropriate
Monitor sickness levels and escalates cases to managers and the Senior People Manager as appropriate
Handle employee meetings in a discrete, fair and confidential manner. Knows when to escalate to their Manager / Senior People Manager
