Being candid, the successful candidate will probably end up with an alternative title, however we wanted to convey quickly that we're looking for someone special with this appointment. The role objective is to drive the capability, talent acquisition and development agenda for a rapidly growing Manchester headquartered business, which is leading the way by challenging the status quo in what has been a traditional sector.
We are working with a new client, a private equity backed business which employs almost 3,000 people across a dozen offices in the UK. They have seen the potential in this organisation and want to help it grow. It's not only deregulation which is providing opportunities for change; more sophisticated clients, changing working practices, a more mobile workforce, opportunity to expand service offerings, technology enhancements and digitalisation of processes all contribute to this being a pivotal time for this firm. For what historically has been quite a traditional sector, we're looking for someone who is anything but traditional.
A completely new senior leadership team is in place and our client, the recently appointed Chief HR Officer comes with a strong track record in business transformation and leading organisational change. She is passionate about nurturing talent, innovation and building a business where people are proud to work. This is where you could come in!
As the successful candidate, you will have a "joined up" remit of managing both the Talent Acquisition and Development teams although coming with a tried and tested kit bag in either of those areas is not essential. You will lead and inspire a high performing team to deliver the capability agenda by translating the organisation's ambitious vision into a deliverable people strategy with a focus on continued innovation and change.
Self-confident, persuasive, collaborative and used to working at pace, you will have the gravitas and credibility to be quickly valued by the senior management team. What is important is an ability to challenge the norm, be innovative, commercial and bravely creative.
