The Head of HR & Development will be a challenging role, supporting the Senior leadership team through a period of change and transformation. Leading a small HR function you will be looking at all aspects of the employee life cycle, company culture and engagement initiatives.

My client is a unique Manufacturing and engineering business in Doncaster who, as part of a larger parent group are going through a period of change. As part of the wider business strategy they are looking at how to improve the site, the process, management capability, industrial relations, employer brand and engagement.

Description

The Head of HR & Development will:

Be responsible for driving an engaging and commercial people plan

Have excellent senior stakeholder relationships and be able to coach senior leaders

Be commercially focused and have significant experience of driving through change at all levels

Have strong management capability and performance improvement experience

Be able to talk through talent strategies, specifically targeting fresh talent into the manufacturing sector and looking at career journeys to retain the best talent

Be able to demonstrate how you have driven transformation and supported cultural change

Lead a small HR team, supporting their development and the HR brand internally

Profile

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working in a unionised manufacturing organisation

Will have been the HR lead and will be well versed with changing and challenging environments

Be able to demonstrate commercial value, change management, leadership coaching and influence

Will have gravitas and be credible

Be an excellent communicator at all levels

Have a robust, generalist background and be prepared to get 'stuck in' and close to the coal face

Job Offer

The role is offering between £60-70K dependent on experience
