We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Recruitment Operations Manager - Contingent. The Recruitment Operations team exists to drive the performance and efficiency of HSBC’s vendor and In-house recruitment teams by focusing on process optimisation, improvement and compliance, operational risk management, financial control, high quality auditing and data assurance, policy development and overall control and governance of vendor delivered services. This role will focus specifically on contingent recruitment and previous experience in this market is essential.

 

Responding to changing economic and market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices and the impact of new technology, you will work as part of a team which ensures an operating infrastructure that avoids inefficiencies, duplication of effort and removes unnecessary friction in everyday operations.

 

With significant impact on the overall reputation and performance of the Recruitment & Onboarding function (R&O), your team ensures that an experienced focused, value add approach to the operational delivery of the service is at the heart of everything the team delivers.

 
In this role, you will:
  • Responsibility for the day to day operational management of the HSBC Contingent Workforce Programme (CWP) including vendor management, issue resolution and escalations

  • Acting as the SME point of contact for the team’s Recruitment Managers (and European HR colleagues), supporting them in the operational delivery of the CWP programme for their clients

  • Day to day oversight and management of SLA/KPI adherence, spend and processes associated with the CWP and the third party vendor, identifying opportunities for performance and process improvement and cost saving initiatives

  • Acting as a key contributor (and deputy) to weekly operations meetings using qualitative information to drive a high performance service delivery from our MSP partners

  • Implementing global projects in the region, reviewing impacts of proposed projects/changes on regional processes as a result of change requests

  • Managing communication cascades across the region, with ability to tailor for the regional stakeholders, where required

  • Acting as the key contact point with Employee Relations and Legal to ensure regional process and correspondences are fit for purpose

  • Proactive management of changes in policy, process and legislation across the region

  • Responsibility for all CWP related content on the HR portal; designing and embedding engaging content to represent the recruitment model, process and service

  • Undertaking regular audit activity including for MSP partners, including qualitative reviews to ensure ongoing governance and quality performance is measured (AB&C, Values Assessment etc.)

  • Utilising customer experience to ensure action is taken around both positive and negative feedback through direct engagement between HR, R&O and the Hiring Manager

  • Identifying key barriers / risks / core problems which may hinder delivery of operational recruitment. Providing suggestions / proposals and to relevant parties to improve recruitment related processes

Qualifications
 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
 

  • Experience working in a similar environment and role to include formal vendor management of third party suppliers in a comparable market

  • Strong background in contingent recruitment
  • Ideally a financial services / banking background
  • Excellent vendor relationship experience
  • Excellent Service Delivery, PMO/Change Delivery skills

  • Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Skillstream/other VMS is desirable

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences

  • Ability to deliver difficult messages in a challenging environment

  • Strong understanding of managing recruitment risk and compliance, including reputational, operational and information risk management

  • Proven track record in improving operational processes

  • Experience of deploying comprehensive business/operating plans with process design/mapping experience being particularly relevant

 

The base location for this role is Canary Wharf, London.
