My client is a dynamic and enterprising University with a goal to become the London's top modern University by 2020. They are looking to recruit a Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager to join as an integral part of the Organisational Development team on a 12 month FTC.
The post holder will support the University's ambition to enable a truly inclusive and diverse culture by providing thought leadership and recommendations that facilitate and embed the EDI agenda. You will work across Directorates and Schools to raise EDI profile and support strategies that foster a diverse and inclusive workforce. This role will be responsible for leading on the development and implementation of the University's submissions in key Equality Charter Marks including the Athena Swan accreditation.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a successful and high profile team within the University, you will support and develop the EDI strategy alongside your team of 2 direct reports and the Head of Organisational development. You will work in close partnership with the Board of Governors, HR team and Staff Networks to improve engagement. Working to achieve the Bronze Charter award alongside all of the University Equality Charter submissions. Experience working on projects such as these are essential.
To be successful in this role you will have full up to date knowledge of good practise, legislation and sector practise relating to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. You will have worked on designing, implementing and evaluating D&I interventions in a organisation that has the complexity of a University. You will excellent project management skills, working from start to finish including report writing and developing key objectives and mile stones. You will have the ability to demonstrate your stakeholder management skillset and will have a strong customer focus. Ideally you will have worked within Education or Not for Profit organisations where Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is too of the agenda. This is role with real impact and a hot topic within HR across all sectors.
Salary: £45,000 - £53,000
