Head of HR

Oakleaf Partnership are currently working with an ambitious and dynamic organisation who are looking to appoint a Head of HR. As Head of HR you will champion the culture and values whilst managing a small team within the HR function. As part of the leadership team you will work closely with the executives and senior management team and engage with staff at all levels to position HR at the heart of the business.

Main responsibilities

You'll be responsible for shaping and defining the HR strategic and operational direction, for the organisation.

This organisation is seeking support with reviewing their current policies and procedures and building their HR function.


Ideally you will have combined experience working for both SME and matrix organisations


Naturally you will have supported organisations undergoing complex levels of change previously

Lead the Employee Engagement agenda to raise capability of employees

Ensure all people related activities are consistent and fair across a number of regions

Developing and deploying employee engagement and growth initiatives, increasing retention through the provision employee benefits and learning and development opportunities.

Lead and manage succession and career planning in the organisation

Ensure robust HR policies and practices are in place

Lead remuneration and recognition plans to ensure reward drives the correct behaviours

To be successful for this position you should be an experienced and dynamic HR professional with the proven track record of leading HR in a fast moving and multi-disciplinary organisation. You should also have experience of working within a commercial or highly specialised organisation. You should be able to demonstrate experience in implementing HR systems, translating organisation strategy into deliverable and leading change across the organisation. You should be able to embrace and successfully manage change whilst working well under pressure.
