HR Officer

A leading global law firm is looking for an HR Officer to join their team looking after business services.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Dealing with day to day HR queries
  • Carrying out end of probation review meetings, monitoring probation periods including follow up performance reviews and management termination meetings where necessary
  • Coordination of disciplinary and grievance meetings; taking notes or where appropriate running the grievance/disciplinary/investigation/hearings
  • Conducting exit interviews
  • Advising on maternity/adoption, paternity and parental leave processes
  • Liaising with the Resourcing team on recruitment authorisations
  • Working with the wider HR team to communicate and share expertise with the wider team
  • Assisting the HR Business Partners, senior HR team and the business on various change-management process improvement and CR&I projects within the firm

This person will:

  • Have experience of working at officer/coordinator level ideally within professional services
  • Have an understanding of current employment law, particularly with regard to employee relation issues
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be proactive and resilient
  • Have integrity and discretion
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be educated to degree level (2:1+) or equivalent
