Payroll and Benefits Officer - Financial services - West End- £45k- £48k + Amazing Bonus

Oakleaf partnership are delighted to be working solely with a rapidly growing Financial services client in the heart of the West End who are seeking a driven payroll and benefits officer.

The responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Co-ordinating with HR over changes to employee details, joiners and leavers, and updating the payroll database accordingly;

  • Preparing monthly payroll instructions;

  • Co-ordinating and liaising with payroll agencies over the payroll, ensuring the relevant tax / social security deductions have been applied by the agencies;

  • Supporting budgeting of employee costs and arranging funding for each company to enable them to meet payroll payments

  • Making payments to local tax regulators for social security and payroll taxes in compliance with regulatory requirements;

  • Maintaining and reconciling an Excel based database of contractual amounts to payroll amounts and reconciling these with relevant accounts on a regular basis in close collaboration with the Finance team

  • Assisting the Finance team with the annual payroll audit;

  • Answering queries regarding reconciliation of payments/ payroll;

  • Completing HR actions for the Lean Payroll Project

  • Reviewing and implementing improvements to the payroll processes

  • Assessing payroll providers and the level of service provided and ensuring providers used offer the best service to the firm


  • Must have a stable cv

  • Good excel skills

  • Able to work independently

  • Work well under pressure

  • Must come from Financial or professional services
