Your new company

My client are a leading logistics provider based in Shropshire with operations across the UK and Ireland. They now have a requirement for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team to support the HR Manager.

Your new role

As HR Advisor you will be supporting the HRM in the day-to-day management of the department whilst supporting the HR Manager in driving local initiatives and agenda. You will provide Managers/Employees with advise/support in relation to policies, procedures, legislation whilst Influencing and challenging Managers/peers in the interests of the business through coaching and mentoring peers. A key part of the role is to support the HR Manager in driving employee relations/initiatives, training & Development initiatives Including Talent Mapping, Succession Planning, TNA, PDP's, Management Training and 360 feedback etc

You will lead on recruitment & selection of office & first line managers, including advertisements, application screening, interviewing, Offer Letters and Contracts. You will represent the company in formal company hearings relating to grievance, discipline, performance, sickness and absence and oversee and administer family friendly practices, Including maternity, paternity, shared parental, bereavement, dependence, SSP, sick scheme.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will have an excellent track record in a generalist capacity, ideally in a logistics, manufacturing sector or related sectors. You will be a solid influencer, driven with strong Communications Skills/Collaborative and excellent organisation expertise.

You will have proven delivery of projects (and execution) with the ability to work on initiative with high levels of autonomy.

You will ideally be CIPD level 5 or studying towards with strong employment law, recruitment and strong influencing/relationship building experience.

What you'll get in return

The role attracts a salary of c£28,000-£30,000 plus benefits.
