We are looking for an innovative and inspirational resourcing professional to lead the force in all elements of resourcing and recruitment.
This new role is an exciting and highly challenging opportunity that will stretch your experience beyond usual levels - you will be responsible for ensuring the force is appropriately resourced to police the communities of the West Midlands.

You will be accountable for all resourcing and recruitment activity including both uniformed and non-uniformed roles, from managing our brand and public perception and communication strategy, through to getting the right people on board to make a real difference in policing.
In addition, we are looking for someone who can continue the positive steps we have taken in our internal resourcing approach, including police officer promotions and our approach to finding and building internal detective talent.
You'll be joining an engaged and enthusiastic team, who have been delivering significant front line volume recruitment, including police constables, PCSOs, special constables and colleagues in our force control room and delivering a range of innovative activities, such as our detective academy, talent bank, and recruitment into specialist teams and roles. This role sits in the wider People and OD leadership team, so has a key role in contributing to and leading on the delivery of the people strategy and People Deal.
You will be an experienced resourcing and recruitment leader with knowledge of best practice, systems, tech and emerging trends in recruitment. You will have demonstrable examples of developing and leading organisation wide resourcing strategy and experience of leading a high volume / high profile recruitment function while supporting a diverse team in a large or complex organisation.
