Head of HR

My client, a PE backed start up tech firm urgently require a Head of HR to cover a 6 month maternity during a period of growth. You would be responsible for managing the HR team who are split across several global offices as well as leading a big recruitment drive and the training of staff.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of 6

  • Recruitment: managing Exec hiring and acting as the point of escalation

  • On-boarding: relocation support, induction, implementing and performing training for new recruits including internal systems

  • Internal promotion and salary reviews: advising on annual salary reviews, departmental restructuring, annual performance reviews and bonus payments

  • Off-boarding: redundancies, dismissals, conducting exit interviews, collation and analysis of leaver data

  • Employee relations: you will be proactive in preventing issues before they arise, acting as a point of contact for employee and managerial concerns and suggestions, fast and thorough resolution of problems

  • Review, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

  • Cultivate strong working relationships with all colleagues within the business - working in the London office and remotely - including senior management and the executive team, delivering feedback where appropriate

Key skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a good listener with a high level of integrity

  • Excellent written and spoken English, strong attention to detail

  • International experience a plus, especially knowledge of regional European employment law advantageous

  • Experience of or a commercial understanding of a dynamic and faced paced start up environment.
