HR Manager - Legal

A London based Law firm with offices in Central London are recruiting for a stand-alone HR Manager to join the team. With support from the wider team, as the HR Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading together with the management team on HR and organisational matters to develop a short and long-term people strategy that supports the overall business strategy

  • Proposing and managing an annual talent and succession plan within budget, including running and providing successful training and development activities that add value and are specific to fee-earning consultants

  • Leading all planned and ad hoc recruitment activities together with the Office Manager through a professional, consistent and effective selection process that secures the best talent to drive the business forward

  • Providing successful effective on-boarding and off-boarding processes to all employees, contractors and consultants

  • Monitoring and improving the framework of HR policies and practises across the company

  • Managing reward and benefits administration and appropriate incentives

  • Ad hoc HR related projects

As the HR Manager, you will possess:

  • Solid generalist experience supporting all aspects of HR, preferably in a stand-alone capacity

  • Demonstrated results in successfully developing and implementing HR programs whilst adding value to the business

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing a talent management and succession program working at the conceptual level through to tactical implementations

  • Successfully generated new and innovative retention strategies which have been highly effective

  • Ability to build and improve current appraisal and performance program
