Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor & Director of Finance, the Director of Human Resources will provide overall strategic and operational leadership for HR, ensuring delivery of an excellent service across the University. The Director of Human Resources will play a leading role in ensuring that Roehampton continues to provide an environment built on mutual trust, which recognises and rewards the commitment of staff and gives them opportunities to develop.
The successful candidate will have significant experience gained in a complex organisation, ideally although not restricted to the Higher Education sector. You should have a degree or equivalent level qualification, be professionally qualified, and have a deep understanding of modern practice in HR and employment law. The Director of Human Resources will possess the ability to establish effective relationships quickly, be articulate and engaging and be able to influence stakeholders and their decision making. This is a key leadership role designed to ensure HR can support the University’s strategic ambitions.
