About the opportunity
Your role as a People Advisor is to coach line managers to create and maintain engaged, high performing teams and support them through the critical moments in the employee lifecycle.
You will work in synch with HR Business Partners to deliver the people aspects of the plan for your business area. You will develop and maintain strong networks across HR to ensure consistency and maximise efficiency.
You will need to develop strong relationships with business leaders in order to coach and support them. You will have your ear to the ground to identify opportunities for improvement in team effectiveness, morale and motivation, and you will lead on making the right interventions. You will be skilled in managing complex employee relations cases, identifying, pre-empting and mitigating risk.
Your natural approach to interacting with leaders will be to enquire and seek to understand what is going on at a deeper level. You will be skilled at active listening and asking the right questions to get beneath the surface. You will be driven to co-create solutions to solve employee and business challenges and will have sufficient breadth and depth of HR experience to offer sound judgement, coaching, interventions and advice.
You will have good business acumen and understanding of the commercial implications of HR decisions and actions. Ultimately, you’ll act with integrity and remember that HR is an enabler of the business ensuring HR solutions lead to enhanced business effectiveness and results.
