Director, HR Strategy & Planning (12 Month FTC)

The Director of HR Strategy & Planning leads a small team who deliver the group-wide people agenda across the organisation’s regionally-focused HR operating model for over 10,000 FTE employees.
The Company’s group-wide people agenda focuses on selected projects and processes where it is strategically important to have a consistent and/or focused approach across the whole organisation.
The key areas include Diversity & Inclusion, Executive (Top 50) Talent Management, HR Technology and group-wide HR Projects and reporting.
The position is based at the Company’s City head office in London. The role has a direct reporting line to the Group HR Director and is a member of the HR Leadership team.
• The successful individual should have extensive experience of the UK PLC environment, including working with Senior Group Executive and Non-Executive stakeholders. This experience will have been gleaned either from working in a group corporate centre team or from a consultancy role. (This latter experience is imperative).
• The individual will have a full understanding of business strategies and goals and an ability to work closely and credibly with Group Executives and Board members to deliver people results and business goals.
The essential skills lie in:
o Preparation of strategy papers for Group Board and Group Exco.
o Leading key team members to produce effective data reporting for Group stakeholders.
o Superb and proven influencing strategies.
o Comfortable with ambiguity.
