ER Manager

My client is an iconic global fashion brand who have an unique opportunity for a ER Manager to join the business. This is a newly created role where the appointed candidate will be the main point of contact to the wider HR team and business managers across the UK Region on all matters of Employee Relations and HR legislation. You will be required to report on Employee Relations case work including diversity and inclusion to the senior leadership team and plan for future legislation which may impact upon business operations.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Providing specialist hands on Employee Relations and Employment Policy advice and solutions to management and the UK Region HR Team

  • Providing strategic insight for the HRD and UK Region HR Team on all things ER with particular focus on mitigating risk, reporting company ER statistics and planning for future legislation

  • Working in partnership with internal stakeholders (Leadership, Operations & Functions) to identify business requirements to provide advice, recommendations and implement effective commercial solutions

  • Liaising and working directly with the legal counsel on complex case work to ensure protection of the brand, compliance with best practice and to mitigate risk where necessary effectively manage any early conciliation discussions with ACAS (or other third-party representatives as applicable) by understanding the commercial and brand implications of each case and making an informed decision as to how best to proceed

  • Assess potential risks and work with witnesses and legal counsel to ensure that robust, commercial decisions are made

  • Provide face to face support and coach witnesses (where appropriate) leading up to an Employment Tribunal and on the day

  • Provide professional, customer focused and commercial ER/HR advice and support]

  • Provide a highly credible and trusted source of legal expertise

  • Train , educate and develop managers and other stakeholders to comply with employment policy y and make informed commercial ER decisions

  • Identify and manage appropriate consultation processes during times of organisational change
